  • The cost of a reservation includes a seat at the table and everything you need to make one custom candle!

  • Your session includes 1 custom candle, but you can make up to 2 candles per person during each session. We will offer a $10 discount for anyone who would like to make an additional candle during their session.

  • Because our candle-pouring workshops include handling hot wax and fragrance oils, children must be 5 years or older to participate. Anyone under 18 must have a legal guardian sign their waiver. A legal guardian does not have to be present, but they must have at least one chaperone.

  • A custom candle pouring lasts anywhere from 30-60 minutes! We welcome reservations and walk-ins. You will pour a candle using our DIY Menu with the support of our team. A traditional workshop, lasting a full 90 minutes, can also be scheduled.

  • Our candles require at least 90 minutes to harden after pouring. You can pick it up later that day (during open business hours), during the next business day, or we can ship your candle to you for $12 (Continental US Only)! For the best burn possible, your candle should be allowed to cure for AT LEAST 7 DAYS before burning it for the first time.

  • Yes! We offer 10% off for reservations of 10 or more seats. Just use code GROUP10 at checkout!

  • We get it, life happens. If you request a cancellation at least 24 hours before the time of your pouring, we'll issue you a refund! Please use our self-service portal to request a cancellation.

  • BYOB is not permitted at our location. Beer, wine, and select mixed drinks are available for sale on-site at The Sailor and the Dock bar. Discounted drink tickets are also available for workshop participants.

  • We don't allow outside food in our public workshops. Outside food is allowed during private events. We also have charcuterie boards available for purchase during workshop events.

  • Celebrations are always welcome at The Candle Bar! You can learn more about private events here!

  • While reservations are not required, we highly recommend them! We have set pouring times with a limited number of seats. Feel free to check availability at your location here!

  • Our candle-pouring reservations are for one seat. You're more than welcome to share the pouring process with a partner, but please note they may not have a seat if the pouring is full! In order to experience Paddywax Candle Bar in the best way possible, we recommend reserving a seat for each guest attending.

  • We require cancellation at least 24 hours before your scheduled class for our candle-pouring workshops to receive a full refund. Please contact us through the self-service portal to request a cancellation. We accept returns on undamaged merchandise with proof of purchase up to 90 days after purchase. Our Collaborative Workshops are not eligible for refunds.

  • Part of the experience of The Candle Bar is being part of the candle fragrance creation process. Our available fragrances and vessels have gone through safety testing, and are rated for candle-making so we can't allow you to bring in your own fragrances to mix. Don't worry, we have over 40 fragrances to choose from! You are able to bring in your own vessels, but we have the right to deny candle creation based on the candle suitability of the vessel.

  • If you need to make any changes to your reservation (date, time, number of seats, etc.), please contact us through the self-service portal and we'll take care of you!

  • Yes! We can hold your candle until you can pick it up, up to 30 days. After 30 days, we donate remaining candles to a local charity! If you can't pick it up within 30 days, we're happy to ship it to you for $12! Just contact us via email at contact@thecandlebarok.com

  • Empty vessels can be purchased at our location. We do not sell fragrance oils at this time.

  • Oh no! We're more than happy to repour your candle and ship it again! Just contact us via email at contact@thecandlebarok.com and we'll take care of you.

  • The best solution would be to pay with one form of payment in order to ensure your entire party is reserved. If you would like to pay separately, you will need to book individually.

Candle Care Instructions

1. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch each time before burning. Long or crooked wicks can cause uneven burning.

2. Let the wax pool completely across each time you light it.

3. We recommend you don't burn longer than 4-5 hours at a time. This will prevent excessive heat build-up.

4. Keep your candle within sight! Try not to move your candle unless the wax is completely dry.

Candle Refill Service

Can I refill a candle from a past visit?

For any Esoteric Essence vessel or candles made at The Candle Bar - YES! We love it when people give their candles a second life. Just drop your empty and cleaned (or not) vessel off at our location, and our team will repour it for you!

How do I prepare my candle to repurpose or refill?

  1. Stop burning your candle when there is still 1/4 inch of wax left.

  2. Place your vessel in the freezer overnight or until frozen.

  3. Remove the candle from the freezer and use a dull knife, such as a butter knife, to crack the wax.

  4. Pop-out wax pieces and remove wicks (you may need to continue to use the dull knife for this).

  5. Wash your vessel with soap and water and you are ready to go!

Or you can just bring your vessel in as is, and we will clean it and restore it.
